A lamp — or a sculpture of light. A twig unfolding into the shape of a pelican’s beak, designed to surprise and capture your attention.
Different pieces of birch wood intersect to form the structure, assembled entirely without glue. The lampshade itself is crafted from Japanese rice paper.
The choice of natural materials, and the intention to give people the ability to easily assemble, disassemble, pack, and relocate their furniture, are central to my design philosophy.
